Suite V is two businesses sharing one room, and the combination works better than it sounds. It is a full hair salon — cut, colour, treatments — that also operates as a genuinely curated vintage shop, with racks running along the walls of the same space where the chairs are. The result is a Crown Heights institution that regulars use for both, often in the same visit.

The vintage edit is small but deliberate, and it reflects the neighbourhood: 90s and Y2K pieces, denim, outerwear, leather, statement knitwear, and accessories, chosen with an eye to what the salon's clientele actually wears. Because the stock is tight rather than voluminous, it turns over quickly, and regulars check in often rather than treating it as a destination dig. It is the opposite proposition to L Train Vintage a few blocks west — curation and atmosphere instead of racks and volume.

Music is part of the offer, and the shop's own description leans on that: the space is built to be somewhere you linger. For a neighbourhood whose secondhand options had thinned considerably, Suite V has become the place that fills the curated end of the gap.

Hours are unusually generous and unusually varied — Monday noon to 9pm, Tuesday 11am to 6pm, Wednesday through Friday 11am to 9pm, and weekends 9am to 6pm. The evening hours on weekdays make it one of the few places in central Brooklyn you can browse vintage after work. It sits on Nostrand Avenue, walkable from the Nostrand Avenue A/C stop and the 3 at Nostrand.
