Harold and Maude Vintage began in Bed-Stuy in 2013, co-founded by Mami Nagase and Ryoma Hashimoto as a mom-and-pop curated vintage shop. This second location brings the same approach to Park Slope, in a basement space on 7th Street at the corner of 4th Avenue.
The pieces are hand-picked from across the United States, Europe, and Japan, and the range runs from baby clothes to adult — unusual for a curated vintage shop, and genuinely useful for families who want vintage for children as well as themselves. It is a small, edited shop rather than a dig, so it rewards a slow look.
Hours are Wednesday to Friday 11am–5pm and weekends noon–6pm, closed Monday and Tuesday. The 4th Avenue–9th Street stop on the F, G, and R is a few blocks away, and the shop makes a natural detour between Park Slope's 5th Avenue thrift corridor and Gowanus.
